Capcom revealed some more information on Ace Attorney 5‘s new heroine, Kizuki Kokone, and her special ability. This new character has an ability called the “Heart Scope” which allows her to listen to a witness’ “Heart Testimony.” This process involves her using a floating screen to listen to what the witness has to say.
While using it, you will hear noises mixed in with the testimony. The goal is to turn down the noise in order to hear the truth. Four faces will appear on the screen, each representing an emotion. It is up to the player to notice and detect any significant changes in emotion as the witness gives their testimony. Once you figure it out, the noise level will be reduced to 0% and a new fact or clue about the case will be revealed.
Ace Attorney 5 will also feature 3D investigations, which is a first for the series. It seems to control similar to Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward, in that you can pan the camera left or right and point and click at certain objects to view them up close or at a certain angle.
Ace attorney 5 is scheduled to be released in Japan this year. Capcom USA has already confirmed that the game will be released outside of Japan. However, a release date has not yet been announced.
