Jeremy Soule’s Symphony No. 1, “The Northerner” (Opus 1)

Jeremy Soule, composer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for his own album, Soule Symphony No. 1, “The Northerner” (Opus 1).

Soule has an impressive track record in the game industry. He has written music for many games, including The Elder Scrolls series, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Neverwinter Nights, and the Guild Wars franchise. “The Northerner” will draw inspiration from traditional classical music and will feature live performances and “innovative technologies.”

A $15 USD pledge will get you a CD copy of the album. (Backers outside the United States must pay $9 more for shipping.) Every backer at this level or higher will also get a free digital copy in MP3, FLAC, or 24-bit 96 kHz “ULTRA HIGH FIDELITY” format. If you are a fan of classical music or any of Soule’s previous works, this one definitely looks like it’s worth keeping an eye on.

“The Northerner” has already reached its goal of $10,000, but the campaign is still going strong. If you would like to contribute or hear a sample of the album, visit the Soule Symphony No. 1 Kickstarter page.
