At a Fate/Grand Order Fes. 2026, a special edition of TYPE-MOON TIMES was held with a focus on upcoming fighting game, Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina. This edition of TYPE-MOON TIMES featured Ryosuke Kanemoto (the voice of Shiki Tohno) and Kamone Serizawa (the development director at French-Bread) as guests. The event revealed some more information on the game, showed off some gameplay, and revealed two returning characters from Type Lumina.

You can check out the TYPE-MOON TIMES in FGO Fes. 2026 archived video below. The video is archived until Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Both Arcueid Brunestud and Mash Kyrielight are returning as playable characters in Twi-Lumina. You can check out their visuals and descriptions below.

When selecting a character, players will be able to choose between two styles of play: Act and Duel. Act allows for the use of special moves with the press of a single button. In contrast, Duel is a traditional command input style. When selecting a character, it also shows their ease of use via star system. For example, Arcueid has a 5-star ease of use.

Aesthetically, we get our first looks at the new character select screen, character face-off screen, and the updated UI. One of the interesting things to note is how the face-off screen may change depending on the characters battling each other. For example, when Shiki faces off with Arcueid, both characters are smiling and look more casual. In contrast, when Shiki faces off against Mash, he has a much more serious expression in the face-off screen.

You can check out screenshots of the character select screen, face-offs, and combat below. (Please note: these are from a game that is currently in-development, so these are subject to change.)

A new mode called “Grand Scenario Mode” was also announced. It is written by Kinoko Nasu and you can check out a preview image of that mode below.
