Acacia has revealed that the previously announced multiple languages localization of Magical Girl Witch Trials (Maho Shojo no Majo Saiban) is planned to release by the end of 2026. The additional languages include English, French, Spanish, and Korean. The localization will be a free update to the existing game already available on Steam. Those who already own the game on Steam will receive a free update (once available) to add the new languages. A more firm release date will be given at another time. Acacia noted that this is Re,AER’s first in-house localization, so the release timeframe is subject to change.
Magical Girl Witch Trials is described as follows:
Story
“Witches lurk among these girls.”
It was supposed to be Ema’s first day of high school. But instead of waking up in her bed, she found herself in a dark prison cell.
She found herself suddenly trapped in an island prison, isolated in some unknown, distant sea. In her confusion, an owl informed Ema of her new situation:
“You have been identified as a potential witch — a threat to the world.”
“Thus, you will live here as a prisoner for the rest of your life.
The life Ema had taken for granted had suddenly collapsed.
As she began her new life as a prisoner, Ema got to know the other girls in her situation. Her fellow witch candidates.
However, one day, the owl gathered the prisoners for a shocking announcement:
“We will be holding a witch trial.”
One by one, the girls would have to single out a witch among the thirteen of them…
In other words, they would have to vote out the next candidate to be executed.
It was the beginning of a cruel game indeed…

A colorful cast of characters live in the prison. You the player must scrutinize their testimony for hints to expose their contradictions and sniff out the lying witch.
Cutthroat Discussion Segments
The witches lurking among the prisoners will commit murders. Thus, for each murder case, there will be a witch trial where the culprit must be brought to justice with deduction and discussion.
Magical Witch Trials is available in Japanese and Chinese for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. Multiple languages are planned to be implemented for the Steam version by the end of 2026. An international release of the Nintendo Switch port has not been announced at this time.
