I am writing this exhausted from traveling, and me wanting nothing more than to lay down and go to bed.
I definitely did quite a bit in the week leading up to Turkey Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and I wish that there was a way for me to figure out quite what I am supposed to do with all the maple leaves and mushrooms I keep digging up. I guess I am supposed to be learning more DIYs, but they never come to me!
If you missed last week’s Tom Nook’s Snapshots, you can check it out here.

Catching up with Cephalobot and Goose, I discovered one is working on his autobiography while the other is working up a solid sweat. I’ll let you figure out which is which. More importantly, I took a trip with Kapp’n to a deserted island. He sang about his history as a cartographer, and he lamented how he overworked himself until he couldn’t do that anymore.
While there, I caught a bunch of insects and fish! And most importantly: I caught a snapping turtle for the first time ever. I also caught an empty can out of a river and I created a DIY from it! When I came back from the island, I donated the snapping turtle to Blathers and he gladly introduced it into the museum…after telling me a story about how one chased him across a parking lot once upon a time, and he had to climb on top of the car. (What?!)

Today, I sold a lot of stuff I had caught over on the private island to Nook’s Cranny, and I pocketed a cool 15,174 Bells. Not a bad amount of money, if I do say so myself.
I then took my new riches over to Jolly Redd’s to go art shopping! There was a pair of fake da Vinci’s, and a painting called a “Perfect Painting” that is a bunch of apples and oranges on a table. I ordered it for delivery, and then I stopped by the Nook Shopping kiosk to keep my streak alive for the day.
November 21

Gullivarrr washed up on my shores today, and he needed his communicator to call for his shipmates to come rescue him. (Again). When I went diving for it, I found a scallop in the water! It was then that Pascal popped up out of the water and he asked for the scallop. In exchange, he gave me some advice: “It is more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. But, like, a waterslide is more fun than ANY bike.”
Pascal then disappeared after asking me to wrap my mind around that. I think he is becoming my favorite NPC in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
After finding and returning the communicator to Gullivarrr, I went walking around my island. I found Hazel down in the oceanside kitchen, and I convinced her to stay on my island. I am not sure why everyone wants to leave despite me talking with them fairly regularly.
Finally, I ordered a Torii gate through Nook shopping. I have an idea of where I want to put it, but we will see when I get it in.
November 22

Today, Isabell warned me about Turkey Day happening on November 27th! She explained in the announcements that Renassia has invited a “world-class chef” to come cook to help celebrate. I am very curious what that will all be about.
But of course, it was Saturday …and that means that K.K. Slider has come to town. However, because it was five A.M. when I played, he was not going to be putting on a concert for another 13 hours. I don’t know why he likes just hanging out so much at random in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Next, I had a new islander come to the campsite! His said he calls himself “Mega-Arm Coach”, which means he is one of those types that gives themselves a creative nickname, and he said he is all about “arm day”. He wants his biceps to have biceps, and he wants more than a six-pack! He then offered to gamble on a baby romper with me. Even though that is a weird thing to gamble on, I took him up…and he won.
I then went diving into the sea again. I found two new sea creatures: the sea anemone and the oyster! I also found a sea cucumber, but I already had it in my museum. Finally, after hitting on rocks to find the money rock and harvesting crops, I called it a day.
November 23

I sold off the crops I harvested yesterday in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to Nook’s Cranny for 10,180 Bells. It was also a night, as Isabelle warned me, that there were shooting stars overhead. I made as many wishes as possible upon them.
I also stopped by Blathers, and I dropped the sea anemone off for him to add to the collection. He explained to me that the very pretty tresses are actually tentacles surrounding the mouth of the sea anemone, and those tentacles can harpoon victims with a neurotoxin! I then donated the oyster, and Blathers talked about how oysters can help small fish and crabs survive from predators.
I then spent the rest of the evening wishing on as many stars as I could so I would have things to collect the next day.
November 24

I dug up and then planted a money tree outside of Nook’s Cranny. I dropped in 10,000 Bells, so I could hopefully get 30,000 in return. When I went into Nook’s Cranny, I ran into Gonzo! I gave him a gift, and he gave me a lougewear shirt in return. I am not sure when I will wear it, but I am glad for the clothes.
I went fishing for a bit, caught only carp, and then I decided to track down the star fragments from yesterday. I found a lot of them on the beach, including a couple large ones. Finally, I chased around and caught a couple maple leaves. I don’t know how much longer they are going to be around for, but I wanted to catch a few more this year.
November 25

After buying a porcelain vase from Nook’s Cranny and then selling more things to make some of that money back, I chopped down a money tree and retrieved 30,000 Bells from it. I hope the money tree outside Nook’s Cranny that I planted yesterday grows up like that!
I also ran into Label, who is once again doing her design-education project here on Renassia. She asked for a goth outfit and gave me some clothing. I swapped into the outfit and chatted her up again. She said my outfit had a “goth look to it and is very unique”, and it made me happy.
If nothing else, it will make for a good outfit next Halloween…
