A demo for Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is now available to download for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The Nintendo Switch demo will be available at a later time. Players can play through the game’s prologue and some of the quests featured early in the game. Progress made in the demo can be carried over to the full game.
Along with the demo release, GungHo Online Entertainment America shared the opening movie for the upcoming remake. You can check that out below.

The company also confirmed that Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will have a Nintendo Switch 2 version. This version boasts a higher resolution, improved frame rate, and reduced loading times. It will be available as a $1 upgrade back on the My Nintendo Store.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter launches September 19, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. It is developed by Nihon Falcom and published overseas by GungHo Online Entertainment America. The game is a full 3D remake of the first game in the Trails series.
