Temirana: The Lucky Princess and the Tragic Knights | Trailer Screenshot

Idea Factory International has announced that Temirana: The Lucky Princess and the Tragic Knights, an otome title they previously announced for localization, has now been postponed until 2026. Originally this otome was supposed to release on Nintendo Switch in 2025. Also, the game has already launched on Switch in Japan back in April 2023. This is worrying news considering it’s not the first IFI Switch game to have a problem. Just recently, they cancelled their planned release of the Neptunia series’ Switch ports, as well as the next Death end re:Quest game’s Switch version. However, a vague reason was given for the cancellation of those other games. At the moment, no explanation has been given for postponing this upcoming otome. We can only hope Temirana will truly launch on Switch in 2026, as planned.

The press release states that a Limited Edition copy of the game will be available soon for pre-order and currently the Standard Edition can be wishlisted in IFI’s Online Store as well as pre-ordered from participating retailers. Feel free to check out Temirana‘s original announcement trailer down below (still featuring the no longer valid launch time frame) as well as read more about the game from the latest press release.

About the Game
In this world, one’s status and occupation are determined by the month they were born. About 15 years ago in the eastern kingdom of Temirana, the third princess was born: a baby with a birthmark on her forehead.

This child was rumored to be the “Cursed Princess,” and was forced to live in a house far from her family, away from the castle.

But things are about to change.

As her birthday approaches, she attends the dueling tournament known as Helis Duelm. There, she sees five men glowing with a dazzlingly strong light.

Indeed, the “Cursed Princess” possessed a special and lucky power. Whenever her life might be in danger, people and places would shine as if to warn her.

Those acquainted with her power warn that those men may have shone because they were dangerous…but she knows their light is different from any she’s seen before. Trusting her intuition, the princess invites the five men to join her order of knights.

However, some of them have no experience with the sword, and others lack interest in knighthood at all. Can the princess and her small company of five knights overcome the tragedy on the horizon?
