SQUARE ENIX has announced the return of the STAR OCEAN franchise with STAR OCEAN THE DIVINE FORCE, the same year the franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary. It is the sixth mainline entry in the STAR OCEAN series. The game, like all past entries, is developed by tri-Ace Inc. THE DIVINE FORCE showcases high speed action battles, more ways to explore, no more random enemy encounters, and more.
Similar to STAR OCEAN: The Second Story, this latest entry will feature dual protagonists with different story perspectives. Raymond, a captain of a space trading ship, and Laeticia, a princess-knight from an underdeveloped planet, are the two protagonists this time around, and you will get to choose which character you will see the story through. The events of the story and the characters you can recruit will change depending on the decisions you make. All characters are designed by Akiman, known for their work on the STREET FIGHTER series and STAR OCEAN: Integrity and Faithlessness.
