Inti Creates has launched Blaster Master Zero 1 and 2 on the PlayStation 4 digitally. Both games are now available on the PlayStation Store. Blaster Master Zero originally launched for the 3DS and Switch on March 9th, 2017. It was a reboot of the NES classic, Blaster Master, which launched in Japan on June 17th, 1988, in North America in November 1988, and in PAL regions on April 25th, 1991. Here are links to both games on the PlayStation Store:

Inti Creates also announced that they have released the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack physical edition for the PlayStation 4. It is available at retailers now:

Here is the launch trailer for the game when it came out digitally in April:

Blaster Master Zero follows a young man named Jason Frudnick, a robotic engineering genius. He discovered a creature he’d never seen, and no records of it could be found! So Jason gave it the name “Fred” and observed it in his lab. Unfortunately, an accident happened in the lab, allowing Fred to escape. He jumped into a hole that appeared as if from nowhere, and Jason quickly hopped into pursuit. He suddenly found himself in a strange cave, where a powerful all-terrain battle tank called the SOPHIA III seemingly waited for him. His curiosity got the better of him, so he jumped in and began his quest to find Fred! Here’s the trailer:

Blaster Master Zero 2 is a direct sequel to the reboot. It originally launched on March 20th, 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. After the events of the previous game, a new disaster hit! During their battle with the Mutant Core in that game, it turns out that the tank’s support droid, Eve, got infected by mutant cells! As the mutant corruption began to spread around the Earth, Jason and Eve (along with Fred) took to outer space in their new space vehicle, the G-SOPHIA. Their new quest is to find a cure for the corruption on Eve’s home world, a planet called Sophia. Here’s the trailer:

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
