Explore a post-apocalyptic world where machines have replaced humanity in the first public demo for The Uncertain: Light at the End.
Developed by New Game Order (formerly ComonGames), The Uncertain follows Emily, one of Earth’s only free humans. Through her eyes, players will unravel the mystery behind humanity’s disappearance while being pursued by the same machines which once served them.
From the developer:
You are afraid. You are forced to constantly hide. Those who just recently served you, turned against you, started hunting you. Your friends and family have been kidnapped. You do not know where they are or what has become of them. Ant there is nothing you can do about it. You can only hide and survive, without hope, not understanding why this is happening. You are outcasted, outlawed. You are human.
The Uncertain: Light at the End revisits the universe established by 2016’s The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day, which has achieved more than 1,000 Steam reviews and a Very Positive rating from the Steam community. This new entry challenges players with implacable enemies and narrative decisions that will shape Emily’s story in an all-new adventure featuring new characters, original mechanics, unique puzzles, stunning locations and an original cinematic score.
A live showcase of new gameplay will be held on June 17, 2020, at 1 p.m. EST as part of the Steam Summer Game Festival.
The Uncertain: Light at the End demo is available through June 22, 2020. The full game is scheduled to launch this year for PC and later for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
