Hey, remember the classic Rare game, GoldenEye 007? Of course you do. It was a huge hit. Not only was it one of the few examples of a movie based game that was actually good but it was also a game that introduced a lot of young console gamers to the now very popular first-person shooter genre along with other examples such as Acclaim’s Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. Even today GoldenEye 007 stands out with it’s iconic visuals and unique gameplay.

Do you miss this era of FPS? Well if you do you might be in luck, Retro Army Ltd.’s current project might just be up your alley. The Spy Who Shot Me is currently up on Steam Early Access and is scheduled to launch in a few weeks. Check out the trailer below:

It certainly looks the part, doesn’t it? The Spy Who Shot Me not only draws inspiration from GoldenEye but the James Bond franchise as a whole with a protagonist resembling more Sean Connerry’s Bond than Pierce Brosnan and a title reminiscent of the 1977 film The Spy who Loved Me.

You can get in on The Spy Who Shot Me’s Early Access now for $10.99 if you think it sounds like a good time. Checkout Retro Army’s press release below:

Let me introduce The Spy Who Shot Me™ for Steam, an action-packed retro-style first person shooter which looks very much like the classic Goldeneye for N64.
The Spy Who Shot Me™ is developed by Retro Army Ltd., a team of industry veterans based in UK who have created other hits for PC such as Verdict Guilty, Death’s Hangover, Dungeon Marathon, and the Super Trench Attack saga.
The Spy Who Shot Me™ was launched in Early Access back in April, 2018, and it will remain like that for a few weeks more. The full version of the game will contain new areas, side objectives, more difficulty levels and many other secrets.
