Desert Child | featured imageAkupara Games has officially given a release date for its upcoming “hoverbike racing adventure” Desert Child. Set to drop early next month, this title will put players in the role of a hoverbike racer who’s bent on heading to Mars to compete in the next Grand Prix. It features a lo-fi hip-hop soundtrack, vibrant pixel-art, and a solar system inspired by titles including Cowboy Bebop, Akira, and Redline. Players can expect to hunt for bounties, delivery pizzas, and compete in races as they work to earn more money. The protagonist’s bike will be customizable using various modifications that can be amassed as you play. Designed with replayability in mind, secrets have been sprinkled throughout that will keep players coming back for more.

The Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC versions will release on December 11th, 2018.
