After having decided to not provide cross-play on any games on their platforms, Sony’s global CEO John Kodera has posted today that a cross-play beta for Fortnite is to launch today. There are no specifics provided such as the beta’s timeframe, however more details will be released in the coming future. To note, this is only for Fortnite and while this is a major policy change for the company, it is still not clear what the actual process is. The exact goals of the beta are also up in the air, only under the mindset to make cross-play best on PlayStation.
