Developer Artdink is porting their discovery, simulation game, Neo Atlas 1469 to the Nintendo Switch in Japan and Asia. The game will feature both Japanese and English language support, and be available in both digital and physical formats. Neo Atlas 1469 will launch in Japan/Asia on April 19th with a price of 5,980 yen. A Guidebook Pack will also be made available with a guide book that is four chapters long. This pack will sell for 6,480 yen.
Neo Atlas 1469 first launched in the fall of 2016 on the PlayStation Vita. There was also a western version published on Steam for PC gamers by Arc System Works in February of last year. Now, Artdink has released a six minute overview trailer for the new Switch version of the game, which you can see here:
The game takes place in early 15th-century Europe. You are the master of a trading company set with the task of completing the world map and discovering the true nature of the world. You do this by having your admirals head out and explore the seas. They will later return with their reports about their voyage and what they found. It’s up to you to then approve or disapprove of their reports. Which reports you choose to believe and approve will affect how the world map takes shape.
Of course, you also have to run your trading company so you can pay your admirals. You will discover new and exotic types of produce as you discover new lands. Trade routes will then need to be set up to take advantage of them. If you create a trade route that allows certain types of produce to interact, you may discover a new product. You can then trade that for even bigger profits to keep your company running smoothly and your admirals exploring more of the world.
