Dragon Ball Fighters

Bandai Namco has accidentally announced Dragon Ball Fighters for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. The game is a 2.5D fighter and is expected to release worldwide in early 2018. According to producer Tomoko Hiroki, they chose to go 2.5D this time since there are some things that can only be done in that style.

The original press release revealing this information was dated June 12th, so clearly it wasn’t supposed to be revealed yet. That original document has since been taken down, but a backup of the original press release is still available online here. The official Japanese website for the game will be available here once the game is announced officially.

Dragon Ball Fighters

Dragon Ball Fighters features a three versus three battle system. Players must determine how well different fighters work together in order to build an effective team. The Dragon Ball series is known for “ultra high speed battles” and “flashy special moves” . The game will of course include these in some form as well.

It may look at first like Dragon Ball Fighters uses 2D animation, but they are able to shift camera angles and include things that would not be possible in pure 2D. They say that using a 2.5D style gives them a wider range of expression.

He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
