Final Fantasy XV has received its promised 1.09 update for April, and it introduces a few welcome additions and improvements. Paramount to the update is the inclusion of ranking in Timed Quests (better known as mobhunts). To coincide with the update, the first Timed Quest rewards will include the Afrosword, and a Greatsword that is, according to Square Enix, “inspired by Grammy Award winning DJ and Producer Afrojack”. Similarly, the patch contains an addition of content in collaboration with TERRA BATTLE, the tie-in smartphone game.
For PlayStation 4 Pro owners, the new update includes an updated list of display resolutions and a “stable mode” to improve performance. This comes in response to the performance issues from February’s Lite Mode update for PS4 Pro.
In addition, the update introduces new car decals to decorate your Regalia, three new songs for the Music Player, and “enlarged font sizes for the subtitles and various menu screens”
For those planning out space for their Final Fantasy XV updates, 1.09 will only take up 4.65GB. It is the latest of many patches put out to enhance, and even alter, the RPG epic.
