Dragon Quest Heroes II will arrive on the PlayStation 4 in North America on April 25, 2017, and then in Europe on April 28. The game originally launched this year on May in Japan, releasing on the PlayStation 3 and Vita as well; there has been no word of releasing on those platforms in English however.
The story this time follows the two cousins Lazarel and Teresa, who are featured in the picture above. From there, the story seems similar to the original, with a peaceful world thrown into chaos, and many heroes from the Dragon Quest series band together with the original characters to save it. The only difference is that there is an army as opposed to monsters turned evil. The opposing force is the Dunisian army, with a friend of the protagonist, Prince Cesar, at the head of the army.
Dragon Quest Heroes II will also feature a few returning characters, and new characters from the following series:
- Torneko, Meena, Maya, Alena, and Kiryl from Dragon Quest IV
- Terry and Carver from Dragon Quest VI
- Maribel and Gabo from Dragon Quest VII
- Jessica and Angelo from Dragon Quest VIII
- Healix from Dragon Quest Heroes
