Legendary shocked the world when it was revealed that they were fast-tracking the production of a Pokémon movie based on Detective Pikachu. However, it seems as though this wasn’t the only Pokémon movie idea in circulation. However, The Pokémon Company put a stop to it, insisting the film be based on Detective Pikachu. Landis wasn’t interested, and it would seem that the rest is history.
