Toho Animation’s YouTube channel has a 50 second teaser to show off for Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru-, that confirms an October 2016 premier for Japan. The teaser was also screened at the “Machi★Asobi vol.16” event in Tokushima Prefecture.

Hanamaru, animated by Doga Kobo (Himouto! Umaru-chan, Luck & Logic), is the first of the two TV anime adaptations of the Touken Ranbu -Online- browser video game developed by Nitroplus and DMM Games. Takashi Naoya, who recently served as an assistant director for the Luck & Logic TV anime, will make his TV series directorial debut.
