Last year, Production I.G. picked up the rights to FLCL with fan speculation that the company would reboot the series and give it a proper 12-episode season. However, Toonami has taken to Facebook to announce that they will be co-producing Seasons 2 and 3. The company also makes it clear what this means:
That’s right, we are producing 12 new FLCL episodes to be split into two seasons, and serve as a sequel to the original classic, FLCL!
So it looks like FLCL will stay true to it’s strong six episode seasons.
What would like to see happen in the next seasons of FLCL? Honestly, I’m sure anything can happen.
