In addition to Nintendo’s release date announcement earlier this morning, we got some fresh new details on upcoming amiibos. Yoshi’s Wooly World will have a Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo to use with the game, which is larger than the other Yarn Yoshis. From Nintendo’s press release:
Mega Yarn Yoshi, a giant green Yoshi amiibo made from yarn, goes on sale Nov. 15 at a suggested retail price of $39.99. When tapped to the GamePad controller in Yoshi’s Woolly World, Mega Yarn Yoshi activates “Double Yoshi,” a second Yoshi to use at any point in the middle of a stage, as well as the ability to save a player’s favorite Yoshi pattern to the amiibo. The standard Yarn Yoshi amiibo also enables the same functionality.
In other amiibo news, a 3-pack Mii Fighter amiibo set will be available on Nov. 1, retailing for $34.99. In addition, two new amiibos will be releasing in November. Mewtwo will be releasing on November 13, and Falco will be coming November 20, the same day that Star Fox Zero comes out. Recall that Shigeru Miyamoto hinted that there would be a surprise in Star Fox Zero for Falco amiibo owners. Both amiibos have an MSRP of $12.99.
