Last month, we reported that a PC port of Hidetaka Suehiro’s adventure title D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die appeared to be in development after a screenshot of an apparent build was revealed on Twitter. One might think that this would all but confirm a forthcoming PC release, but, just in case you were still holding out, Suehiro – better known as SWERY65 – has taken to Twitter to officially confirm that D4 will indeed be making its way to PC:
@BronsonLee @famitsu Yes. D4 will be release for PC. #ThanksObama

D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die is an adventure game in which players fill the shoes of private eye David Young as he investigates the murder of his wife. Through mysterious circumstances, David has lost his memory of the events revolving around Little Peggy’s death, but has apparently gained the ability to travel through time with the employment of special mementos, which he hopes to use to backtrack through the events following the murder and, hopefully, discovering the killer. With a funky cast of characters like an overly flamboyant artist and his mannequin girlfriend, a super buff flight attendant and a girl who thinks she’s a cat (or maybe she really is?), it looks to have all the weird charm of SWERY’s last outing, Deadly Premonition.
D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die is an episodic title, with two episodes currently out on Xbox One. There have been no announcements in regards to the later installments, but let’s hope that news of the game making its way to PC is an indication of things to come. Are you excited to play the game once it hits PC, or are you fine with the Xbox version? Or maybe you aren’t mesmerized by SWERY’s off-kilter style to begin with? Let us know in the comments!
