Red Fly Studio does it again with a sequel to Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars entitled Mushroom Men: Truffle Trouble on Steam for PC. Red Fly Studio released its first installment on the Nintendo Wii and DS back in 2009 and while the first game didn’t sell well, Red Fly Studio’s adoration of the first title is very apparent with this new installment to the series.
In the last game, Pax was trying to save a princess, but in this game, a princess has fallen in love with Pax and has taken to chasing him through his worst nightmares. In order to escape, he must solve environmental puzzles all the while the princess’s love for Pax will do anything possible to acquire Pax for herself.
Mushroom Men: Truffle Trouble has players moving, stacking, and using objects to create new paths to jump on while the Truffle Princess chases Pax through the game. Additionally, Pax can transform into various forms to help him navigate through the world, each with its own distinct and powerful abilities. Players can use each form to perform leaps across vertical walls, turn invisible, or even soar across vast chasms, but as with most games, timing is everything. Being in a dream, even if it is a nightmare, can have its advantages as well.
Mushroom Men: Truffle Trouble pulls players in with its distinctive gameplay, then locks you in with its engaging gameplay, beautiful and imaginative worlds, quirky humour, and Pax’s super-powered forms. Well worth the look if you’re into fast paced puzzle platformers. It releases on Steam on 10 March 2015
