Final Fantasy Explorers, Square Enix’s answer to Monster Hunter, comes out on the 3DS on December 18th in Japan. Well, Japanese players have even more to look forward to on that date as several bonuses have been revealed for the game as well.
One of the bonuses is that all first-print copies of the game will feature a special quest where players will be able to unlock Onion Knight equipment, reminiscent of that from Final Fantasy III.
Perhaps more interesting though is that, as the release date of the game falls on the anniversary of the first Final Fantasy game, first-print copies of the game will also include a download code for the first Final Fantasy game for the eShop. The game will include remastered art and will be the first time the game will be available for the 3DS. It will be playable in 3D.
If you’re interested in playing the first Final Fantasy, but less so in playing Explorers, don’t worry, the game will become available on the eShop starting in January.
