Sydney-based developer/publisher Nnooo has announced a release date for the Wii U version of Cubemen 2. The game is coming to the Nintendo eShop on the 4th of September for Wii U owners in the Americas for $7.99 USD, Europe for €7.99/£6.99, and Australia for $10.49 AUD.
This is a fast paced, blocky tower defense style game where you have various types of blocky soldiers to control. The game has numerous play modes including capture the flag, skirmish, rescue, and territory. You can create and share your own custom levels using the level editor. The game already has more than 8,000 user-created levels online, and the game supports 2-6 player online multiplayer battles with players on Wii U, PC, Mac, Linux, and iOS.
That’s right, it’s cross platform! This is a first on the Wii U.
The game also offers plenty of customization with various skins for the soldiers you control. Plus there are a ton of different level themes that change how the blocks that make up the level look.
This Cubemen sequel was developed for all platforms by 3 Sprockets studio, based in Melbourne, Australia. 3 Sprockets is a small development company specializing in the creation of cool games and apps for the web as well as desktop and mobile devices.
Cubemen 2 is already available on PC, OSX, and Linux via Steam. It can also be found on the Mac App Store and the iTunes App Store.
