Ronimo Games has announced Swords & Soldiers II, a sequel to the studio’s first game, Swords & Soldiers. The game has only been announced for the Wii U so far, and no release window has been announced as of yet.
Swords & Soldiers II will most likely play like its predecessor. In a nutshell, S&S1 is a simplified take on real-time strategy games like Starcraft or Command & Conquer. Instead of a 3D plane, the game takes place in a 2D map where you and your units are on one side of the map while the opponent is on the other side. You don’t directly control any of the units. Instead you issue build orders, and the units simply walks to the other end of the map and fight any enemy units and structures they encounter. You win by eliminating the opposing army, AI or human.
