Scalawags, sea barnacles and blaggards! It would seem that we have even longer to wait for Kaio: King of Pirates, the first brainchild of Keiji Inafune after he left Capcom and founded Comcept in 2011. I remember hearing about the game concept a while back, and being charmed by the design. I am admittedly a Mega Man/Inafune fanboy, so of course I was excited despite a lack of public information and gameplay ideas. Now it seems we’ll have to wait until sometime in 2014 (hopefully) for this 3DS title to come out. I am sure this is due in part to the upcoming release of Mighty No. 9, which is likely eating up a lot of Inafune-san’s attention. I can only hope this perky little penguin pirate is worth the wait! In the meantime, enjoy the official trailer of Kaio.
