Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have just released a slew of new Thief screenshots and concept art for fans to enjoy. The selection features images from the very beginning of the game, meaning it’s just the tip of the iceberg of what we can expect from the title when it is released early next year. Thief is a stealth-adventure title that puts players in the shoes of Garrett, a talented thief that can sneak his way into anywhere and get his hands on anything. His hunting ground is the dangerous and unstable City lorded over by the oppressive Baron Northcrest. At the start of the game (appropriately titled Lockdown), the Baron has locked the city down in an attempt to quell an uprising led by a man named Orion. While these two powers clash in the streets, a nightmarish sickness known as The Gloom quietly spreads, making an already bad situation even worse.
Thief is the fourth game in its franchise, the last of which was released in 2004. It will be released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One systems February 25th in North America.
