Aksys Games has released the first English trailer for Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God, a dungeon crawler and roguelike developed by Compile Heart and Zerodiv for the PlayStation Vita. The game’s English release was originally confirmed last summer at Anime Expo.
In this trailer, we are introduced to the world map and some cute illustrations and mugshots featuring the characters’ little quirks and interactions with one another. Dialogue scenes vary in style, with still art supported by text boxes below and animated illustrations speaking with word bubbles behind a large drawing in the background. When visiting areas on the map, we see the character model move to specific destinations. In dungeons, we see the same character model battling enemies and picking up item drops while exploring a labyrinthine maze.
Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God is due in North America early 2014. If you pre-order a copy, you will get a “Hot and Spicy Everything Nicey” Limited Edition, which includes a “Kuu-rry” Spoon, a “Kuu-rry” Plate, and Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God bib. While they are just supplements to the game, they definitely have practical use.
Hopefully, a European release date will follow soon, along with the limited edition bundle.
