Nihon Falcom announced the total sales of the Trails series have surpassed 10 million. The news comes a couple of weeks after Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, the latest title in the series, released worldwide. In addition to the sales milestone, Nihon Falcom announced a revision to their earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending September 2026. The company expects to exceed their initial earnings forecast with a 26.6% increase in the forecasted net profit from 1.5 billion yen (~9.5 million USD) to 1.9 billion yen (~12 million USD). For comparison, in the previous fiscal year ending September 2025, Nihon Falcom had a net profit of 903 million yen (~5.7 million USD). Nihon Falcom revised their earnings forecast due to the steady sales of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter and Kyoto Xanadu -the Blooming Phantom- and the strong global sales of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.
Nihon Falcom was founded in 1981 and is known for creating series such as the Ys and Trails series. Their latest released title is a remake of the second game in the Trails series, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter.
