During today’s Nintendo Direct, something Persona fans with a Switch 2 have definitely been hoping for, was finally announced. Both Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6 will be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2. Persona 4 Revival was previously announced for various other platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, where it releases in February. Unfortunately, the Nintendo version won’t be out at the same time, but it will be launching for the Nintendo Switch 2 on May 20th, 2027. Persona 6 still has no release date but it was also initially only announced for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and has now been confirmed as well, as coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Feel free to check out the brand new Nintendo Direct trailer of Persona 4 Revival down below, in addition to the brief Persona 6 teaser.
In Persona 4 Revival, legend has it that a mysterious broadcast known as the “Midnight Channel” appears only on rainy nights. The day after it airs, a corpse is found in Inaba, a quiet and peaceful town in rural Japan suddenly thrown into turmoil. To uncover the truth behind these chilling mysteries, you and your friends form an investigation team to unravel the secrets of the Midnight Channel and the bizarre murders. As your adventure unfolds, you face off against “Shadows,” eerie manifestations of individuals’ darker selves. Together, you awaken a hidden power called “Persona” and embark on a journey to prevent more tragedies while uncovering the truth behind the chaos.
Persona 6 brings everything beloved about the series into a bold new story. The signature blend of heartfelt daily life and pulse-pounding supernatural adventure returns, wrapped around a completely fresh, standalone story and new cast of characters!
