A special showcase video released recently for Fate/EXTRA Record providing information on the game’s basic flow and a look at the battle system. During the video, it was announced that the game will receive its first ever playable demo at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2026. Tokyo Game Show 2026 takes place at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to September 21, 2026. The game is part of Aniplex’s booth and will not only have the demo available, but attendees will get to see an exhibit featuring a life-sized replica of Saber’s sword.

Attendees will be able to choose from three Servants: Saber, Archer, and Caster. Players can then tackle the game’s first Arena and choose from either Floor 1 or Floor 2. Floor 1 provides an introductory experience with tutorials. Floor 2 provides more challenging battles and different stage mechanics. Those who try out the demo will receive one of four stickers. Fate/EXTRA Record launches January 28, 2027 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game is a full remake of the 2010 PlayStation Portable title, Fate/EXTRA. It is developed by Meteorise and published for consoles in Japan and for PC via Steam worldwide by Aniplex. XSEED Games is publishing the game for consoles in the Americas and Marvelous Europe is publishing for consoles in Europe.
