During today’s Nintendo Direct, SQUARE ENIX’s upcoming new DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS game finally got a release date and we got our first look at footage of the game. DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Withered World is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Ps5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Windows this upcoming December 3rd, 2026. Physical pre-orders are now available in the SQUARE ENIX Store. There’s both a Standard Edition with just the game and a Collector’s Edition that comes with some extra goodies. The newest addition to the DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS series, DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Withered World features a robust collection of more than 500 new and fan-favorite monsters, evolved graphics and an engaging narrative that follows dual protagonists Bianca and Nera as they embark on a journey to bring the world of Witherwood back to life. No experience with past DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS games is needed to dive into this monstrously fun new adventure.
