Bandai Namco Entertainment has shared a new trailer for Echoes of Aincrad, a new action RPG set in the Sword Art Online universe. The trailer previews the game’s story at different times, first during the closed beta test period and then during Sword Art Online‘s official launch where it turns into a death game. Fans of the series may notice a well known “Beater” event in the story trailer.

In addition to this story trailer, Dengeki Online‘s YouTube channel streamed a special program which celebrated the Sword Art Online video game series surpassing 10 million copies sold. During this program, gameplay for Echoes of Aincrad was shared. The gameplay portion lasted from around 1:01:46 to 1:45:28.

Echoes of Aincrad launches July 10, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. It is a new action RPG set in the Sword Art Online universe where your created character is the main character.
