GungHo Online Entertainment has announced a SteelBook Edition for their upcoming release of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. The SteelBook Edition will be available exclusively through PM Studio’s Panax Store, similar to how the Golden Wings Edition was handled. It will be available for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 editions of the game. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is a Standard Game Card. Pre-orders for the SteelBook Edition open on March 16, 2026. Pricing for the SteelBook Edition is not available at the time of this writing.

Standard physical edition pre-orders are available now at Amazon and Video Games Plus (VGP) with more retailers to come. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition costs $64.99 while the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 versions cost $59.99. Those who purchase the Nintendo Switch version can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing the $4.99 Upgrade Pack. For fans in Europe, distribution in the region will be handled by PM Studios with pre-orders being available at select retailers. The Steam version will be available to purchase digitally at launch.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is developed by Nihon Falcom and published in the West by GungHo Online Entertainment America. It is a full 3D remake of the second game in the Trails series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC. It is scheduled to release in Fall 2026 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
