NIS America will release Ys X: Proud Nordics in North America and Europe on February 20, 2026. The company also confirmed that the game will also be coming to PlayStation 5 in addition to the already announced Nintendo Switch 2 and PC versions. This news comes shortly after Nihon Falcom announced a PS5 port for the game in their 2025 fiscal year IR report, scheduled to also release in Japan in February 2026.

The game is an expanded release of Ys X: Nordics. It includes new mechanics and content not found in the original game. This includes new characters, a new island to explore and new story elements. NIS America describes the content as follows:
