During today’s Nintendo Direct, it was announced that SQUARE ENIX is releasing a brand new DRAGON QUEST VII remake for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. According to SQUARE’s press release however, DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined is also headed to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. SQUARE ENIX also mentions in their press release, that they’ll be releasing a special physical Collector’s Edition which is exclusively available in their online store. In addition to having a Collector’s Edition available, there will also be a Digital Deluxe Edition available for DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined. The press release mentions that the Digital Deluxe Edition will include 48 hours early access to play the game, a unique costume for the playable character Ruff, plus three paid DLC packs. DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined is scheduled to launch on February 5th, 2026.
