Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga will no longer be launching in summer 2025, refint/games announced. The company cited unforeseen circumstances and wanting the release to be at a quality the fans deserve as reasons for the delay. They will release more details on the game as well as a new release date trailer in the future.

Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga | Stay Tuned

You can check out refint/games’ full statement below.

Greetings, adventurers and bracers!

It has been a while since our last update on Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga, and we want to thank everyone for their patience during this time. Development has been steadily progressing but an unforeseen circumstance outside our control arose, preventing us from continuing work and forced us to reassess our release schedule and make the necessary adjustments.

While our original target was a Summer release, after careful consideration, we have decided to delay the game by a few months. This will give us the time needed to ensure that every aspect of the game, from the gameplay to the presentation, meets the quality we strive for and that fans deserve.

We understand it is disappointing to wait longer than expected, but we are confident this decision will lead to a stronger, more polished experience at launch. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing more details, new screenshots, additional information!

Please stay tuned for the upcoming release date trailer! Thank you again for your continued support and enthusiasm!

Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga originally released exclusively in Japan for PlayStation Portable in 2010. The remaster by refint/games will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). It features multiple additions and improvements including remastered graphics for 4K and HD screens, 60 FPS support, English voice acting, and rollback netcode.
