NIS America and Nihon Falcom have announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2. This is in addition to releases on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). Unfortunately, due to the new platform announcement, the game’s western release for all platforms will be pushed to January 2026. It was originally set to launch in Fall 2025.
You can check out a video message from Nihon Falcom President, Toshihiro Kondo, about the Nintendo Switch 2 version announcement below.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon Limited Edition is also available to pre-order on Nintendo Switch 2. It will have the same items as the Limited Edition for other platforms. However, it should be noted that the Switch 2 Limited Edition is more expensive than the other platforms. The Limited Edition for PS5, PS4, and Switch are $99.99 while the Switch 2 Limited Edition is $109.99. The Nintendo Switch 2 game copy will be a Game-Key Card. This means the full game will not be on the card.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon launches in January 2026 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). You can check out its official website and follow NIS America’s official X account, if you’re interested in the game.
