Nihon Falcom has announced that Trails in the Sky the 1st will be coming to PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in addition to the already announced release for Nintendo Switch. In addition to this, GungHo Online Entertainment America has announced that they will be releasing the remake overseas as Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. GungHo’s release will support Japanese, English, French, and German text and Japanese and English voiceovers.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter features a hybrid combat system where players can fight using real-time abilities or in turn-based combat. It’s a full 3D remake of the first game in the Trails series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC. Nihon Falcom is aiming for a simultaneous worldwide release in 2025, and GungHo’s announcement trailer has put out a release timeframe of Fall 2025. Based on the description in GungHo’s trailer, the remake will have brand-new localizations.
