It has been announced that TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL will be coming to the Switch in September. A standard edition along with a Digital Deluxe edition of the game will be available. You can take a look at the game’s press release below.


IRVINE, Calif., (June 23, 2022) – Leading video game publisher and developer Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. today announced TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL is coming to Nintendo Switch™ September 23, 2022. Pre-orders for the game are now available for the Standard Edition and the TAIKO NO TATSUJIN Drum Controller. The Digital Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition with 90-day access to the Taiko Music Pass will be available on launch day.

In TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL, players will be able to hone their drumming skills through 76 songs available in Taiko Mode or play Story Mode to go on a journey to become a Drum Master along with DON-Chan and Kumo-Kyun. Players will also be able to showcase their skills in online battles or play with friends in “couch co-op” Party Mode. TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL features customization with items such as costumes and nameplates players can personalize by earning “Don Coins” as they play. Additionally, players with save data from the 2018 release TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: DRUM ‘N’ FUN will receive three bonus songs as well as customization items.

The TAIKO NO TATSUJIN rhythm game franchise, which started in 2001, has seen countless titles and songs. TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL will be the first title in the series to offer the Taiko Music Pass giving players access to a catalog of more than 500 songs along with monthly updates adding new songs.

Fans can also watch TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: THE ANIME on YouTube. The anime series follows Kotaro and his friends in their quest to become Taiko masters, with the help of DON-Chan and other characters from the TAIKO NO TATSUJIN franchise.
