We here at oprainfall don’t just love video games: we’re big fans of anime, too. So in celebration of the medium, we’re here to give you our thoughts on what we’ve been watching each week as we watch it. Old, new – anything goes.

Currently Airing:

Mahjong Soul Pon

This week was a week full of mahjong for me. A new event started in Mahjong Soul, which includes not only brand new cosmetic things and characters to try to unlock, but a new mode to play as well, with special rules in effect. In addition to getting pretty absorbed into the game, I also caught up on Mahjong Soul Pon, the new anime that started airing earlier this month. The episodes are extremely short, only about a minute and a half each, but it’s really fun to watch and see the characters from the game actually interact with each other and have crazy adventures in these mini anime episodes. Mahjong Soul is currently my favorite way to enjoy Riichi Mahjong and the anime is a great little extra thing to enjoy on the side. The latest episode that came out this past Friday sees Ichihime having some incredible luck when playing mahjong against the others, but not all is as it seems. – Jenae

– You can watch Mahjong Soul Pon on the official Mahjong Soul YouTube channel and on Crunchyroll.

Love After World Domination

Love After World Domination No Cheating

Coming off from last week, we catch Desumi going home with some friends only to see something which distresses her. The pink gelato, Haru, wants to ask Fudo about her suspicions but is unable to. Meeting again, Desumi doesn’t hold back on Fudo as she vents her feelings. When things settle down, the two notice Haru beside them and it seems the two’s secret will be exposed. Desumi ends up confronting her as we learn a bit more about Haru. What she thinks about Fudo might not have been hard to guess, but the surprise is about what she thinks about Desumi. When she appears you might think her character would have gone a certain way, but she ends up having a nice moment with Desumi. It was good that other characters got some more time in this week. – Walter
