This may not be your first adventure, but it is Yuu’s, and she’s going to need all the help she can get.
Wholesome Art style
The Cruel King and the Great Hero features a unique hand-drawn art style as is drawn by pen–the style that also brought The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince to life.
It’s not just the background that’s hand-drawn AND animated with care; it’s the characters, environment, and even the UI. From the deepest forests to the highest peaks, the pen & watercolor motifs and delicate lighting adorn the scrolling background canvases.
In certain parts of the story, you might even encounter living illustrations drawn entirely in pencil. Allow yourself to be engrossed in this picturesque, meticulously handcrafted storybook land.

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
