It was announced at today’s Nintendo Direct that a classic Square RPG would finally be releasing in the West. Live A Live originally released on the Super Famicom in Japan back in 1994. The game follows seven different stories featuring different protagonists, time periods and gameplay styles await. This release will feature updated graphics in an HD-2D style. LIVE A LIVE will launch for Nintendo Switch on July 22, but pre-orders begin today in the Nintendo eShop.

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
