Developer Cracked Head Games and publisher Headup Games are bringing Silver Chains to the Xbox Series X|S on October 20th, 2021. That puts the arrival of this first-person psychological horror game just in time for Halloween. It previously arrived on other platforms as well. The game is set in the bowels of an early 20th-century manor. The game focuses heavily on story and exploration, as you unravel its mysteries. The abandoned mansion features Victorian architecture, adding to the unsettling atmosphere.

In Silver Chains, Peter finds himself trapped in the mansion in the aftermath of a car accident. The mansion certainly didn’t look very welcoming. However, he stopped there anyway hoping he’d be able to get help and a place to spend the night. Unfortunately, he soon discovers that he is not alone. What exactly is lurking in the shadows, and how can he get out of this strange place!?

Here’s the original launch trailer:

Silver Chains is built on Unreal Engine 4, bringing the madness lurking within the old mansion to life. In the game, Peter wakes up after his car had an unfortunate meeting with a tree. After venturing into the mansion in search of help and shelter, he soon uncovers clues that somehow this isn’t the first time he’s been here. As this creepy realization begins to set in, his investigation is interrupted when something sinister starts hunting him! While attempting to escape, Peter discovers dark secrets lurking in the darkness. The more he explores, the stranger things seem to get! What is going on here? Can you help him survive this ordeal?

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
