Square Enix has announced that NieR Replicant ver. 1.22474487139…, the upgraded version of the Japan-only release, NieR Replicant, is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The game is a prequel to the critically acclaimed game, NieR: Automata. This upgraded version features remastered graphics, revamped combat, a re-recorded soundtrack, new voiced dialogue, and an extra story scenario titled “Mermaid.” “Mermaid” features a scenario involving a little girl, a shipwreck, and a new boss battle.

In addition to this new scenario, the dungeons from the “15 Nightmares” DLC of the original Japanese PS3 version, are also included in ver. 1.22474487139… Fans of NieR: Automata will also have something to look forward to, as players will be able to switch the background music to select tracks from Automata after finishing their first playthrough. The English and Japanese voice actors for 2B (EN: Kira Buckland, JP: Yui Ishikawa) and 9S (EN: Kyle McCarley, JP: Natsuki Hanae) will also be featured in the game.
