Nightdive Studios announced in late January that pre-orders for the System Shock remake would be coming in late February. That time is now here, as players can now pre-order the game. Furthermore, they announced that it will launch sometime in late summer. You can pre-purchase the game on Steam, GOG, or the Epic store. Don’t forget that those who pre-order also get System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition for free! They also stated that the game will come to Amazon Luna as well. Additionally, the developers have released a brand new trailer and their final demo. We’ll get to the demo’s new features in a moment, but first here is the brand new trailer:

The final demo is available on all of the digital storefronts mentioned above. It includes the new Cyberspace level, new audio logs, new SHODAN audio, and more! Here is the full list from their post:

  • NEW Cyberspace Level! (tame those cyber doggies!)
  • NEW Crew Audio Logs! (no devs this time!)
  • NEW SHODAN Audio! (Terri is back!)
  • NEW Dismemberment! (if Viva Pinata were rated M!)
  • NEW Proximity Mines! (don’t get too close!)
  • NEW Bugs! (tell us what you find :D)

  • NEW DLSS Support! (update your drivers for your RTX card!)
  • NEW Trailer! (a ton of new reveals!)
  • NEW Nightdive intro! (who’s that lurking in the depths?)
  • NEW Secrets! (first to post a picture of the special skull to our Twitter wins a prize!)

As with last month’s news update, Nightdive Studios once again posted on their Kickstarter and BackerKit pages. They posted some new images again this time as well.

For fans of the original System Shock games, the remake is just a handful of months away. While System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition has not released yet to those who’ve pre-ordered the remake, you can at least jump into the demo to get your fix for the time being. You can find out more about that enhanced edition of the second game from the previous announcement. You can also head over to their official website for other information and stretch goals progress.

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
