Modus Games has just unleashed an extensive new piece of Cris Tales gameplay video. It shows off some of the myriad of choices and resulting consequences that players will discover. They range from working to improve individual lives to determining the fate of the entire world in a quest through time. The game is being created by developer, Dreams Uncorporated. The indie JRPG will arrive next year for $39.99 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Physical copies of the game will include a poster of the game’s very nice key art as a bonus. Pre-orders for the game are available now, and they have a free demo so you can try out the game first if you like.

The gameplay video they released today follows the protagonist, Crisbell, who soon discovers that she can observe and manipulate the past and future versions of her environment at will! This ability can be used to create a brighter future with some help from her amphibian friend. They close out the video with a first look at Cris Tales‘ Synchro system combat, which allows team members to combine skills to yield more powerful results than each could alone. Here is the nearly 15-minute long video:

Cris Tales sees players explore the past, present, and future. Using different eras strategically can be very beneficial to your cause in battle. Your decisions may be difficult, and their consequences can affect the wider world. Ultimately, they determine how your story plays out and what ending you earn for yourself. You can find out more about the game at its official website. They say the game is a tribute to classic RPGs like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Valkyrie Profile, as well as more modern classics like Bravely Default and Persona 5.

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
