The time to explore and conquer all in your path is here, as The Unexpected Quest has arrived on Steam with a 20% launch discount. Developer Rionix, and publisher PQube, are excited to finally have the game in players’ hands. The game will have them exploring, gathering resources, and more, as they build and manage their own medieval kingdom. Along the way, they’ll set out on quests, hunt for treasures, and command their dwarven units to conquer harsh landscapes. Players will need to build armies for said conquering and to protect their towns and territory. The world’s beauty belies the danger lurking throughout its landscapes.

The press release says The Unexpected Quest is inspired by classics such as Warcraft III and The Settlers. Here is the launch trailer:

Command your dwarven forces from an overhead view, as you conquer the medieval landscapes that lay before you. Build camps and armies as you get to the bottom of mysteries from the snowy mountains to the stinky swamps. You’ll send teams to scout out sprawling forests, bayous, and more. Ahead of you is a wide array of quests & creatures to discover. Utilize classic production buildings such as sawmills and forges, to develop your kingdom. You’d better manage your stockpiles of food, wood, and gold well, as no dwarf shall work on an empty stomach! It’s up to you to tame the harsh terrain that stands in your way and make your kingdom a reality!

As a final note, today’s press release included some exclusive new screenshots from Chapters 7 and 8, which you can check out below:

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
