Some players on PC and Nintendo Switch have already been looking forward to the launch of action platformer, Olija, early next year. Now some new groups of players are joining them, as developer Skeleton Crew Studios, and publisher Devolver Digital, have made a new announcement. They say that the game will now also be coming to both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles. Alongside Olija‘s latest news, comes the drop of a brand new trailer as well:

Olija is an action adventure with very retro-style pixel art graphics. It’s voyage will begin when it launches early in 2021. The world got its first look when the game was revealed this summer during the Devolver Direct. The extra development time has allowed them to now bring their swashbuckling platformer adventure to players on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The developers are pleased to be able to bring the game to an even wider audience this way.

Olija is the story of a man known as Faraday, who finds himself shipwrecked in a mysterious country known as Terraphage. He and his fellow castaways must somehow get out of this hostile place. They will have to if they are ever to get back to their own homes. Faraday’s legendary harpoon will serve him well on this quest, as it impales his foes. Players will discover the strange world and its inhabitants through exploration, “razor sharp combat”, and narration. Along the way, Faraday will cross paths with the enigmatic lady, Olija, in a story about facing the unknown, defeating its challenges, and overcoming adversity.

For those who want a taste of the game now, you can try out the free demo that is already available on Steam.

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
